Hello, I’m Ryan Chang
I’m a product designer from Taiwan, currently based in Tokyo, designing for 70M+ users at PayPay, one of Japan’s leading fintech companies.
I work across industries and global markets, collaborating with international teams to turn complex, ambiguous problems into real-world impact.
I began my design journey at BenQ, designing B2B products for the US K–12 education sector, and later at Garmin, where I created wearable experiences that bridged wrist interfaces and mobile apps, grounded in user research.
I then joined Carousell, a second-hand e-commerce platform serving markets across Asia, as my first full-time role. There, I learned to define problems through user interviews and design solutions that worked at scale, covering both consumer-facing features and internal tools such as marketing platforms, while collaborating closely with cross-regional teams.
Curiosity eventually brought me to Tokyo, where I joined PayPay. I’ve led projects shaping how millions of people pay, exploring new payment methods, optimizing fund management, and designing ATM-related features.
I value consistency, teamwork, and feedback, and I approach each design challenge as an opportunity to learn and create meaningful impact.
Outside of work, I’m the kind of person who books a trip to a city I’ve never been to—just to see what I might discover along the way.
